It’s another rough ride on Eavesdroppin’ comedy podcast this week, as Geordie and Michelle look at two Australian hometown murders…

When two dirt-bike riders found human bones in the Belanglo State Forest in Australia, 2010, police were stumped. Who was this woman? Had anyone reported

this Jane Doe as missing? Five years later, an unsuspecting motorist found a body in a suitcase on the side of the road in South Australia and once again police were confounded by the victim’s identity. So – who were these victims? Was anyone looking for them? Were they connected? This week, Michelle delves into both cases and uncovers the grim details behind the murders of Karlie and Khandalyce Pearce.

Geordie follows with a look at the unsolved case of murdered Australian woman, Rachelle Childs. When a burning body was found on a beach near Gerroa in New South Wales, Australia, in 2001, the remains were quickly identified as belonging to car-dealership worker Rachelle Childs. Police, friends and family were shocked and confused buy the grim discovery – who would want to kill Rachelle? As the subject of a new podcast series called Dear Rachelle, Geordie digs into the case and reveals the number one suspect who potentially has gotten away with murder. Listen to find out more!

So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week’s episode, plus chit-chat about hometowns, Ivan Milat and more, only on Eavesdroppin’ podcast. And remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!

Hello, Eavesdroppers! This week we have a special true-crime report on a hometown murder no one can find on the internet… This episode is a special request from an Eavesdropper, who asked us to investigate a murder she remembered from her childhood…

In Australia on September 20, 1983, a 15-year old boy in the Canberra suburb of Red Hill murdered his 13-year old sister, in the middle of the night, seemingly without motive. A former alumni from the school of the murdered girl wrote to Eavesdroppin’ hosts Geordie & Michelle, asking them to look into the murder, as she could find no public record of the killing on the internet. What Geordie & Michelle discovered are the disturbing reports of a troubled teen who murdered his sister without explanation – and the bizarre reportage of the case at the time. Why is this murder digitally unsearchable? Why is the reporting so strange? And why are Geordie & Michelle not using the names of the victim and perpetrator in the episode? It’s a psychological true-crime ride this week and an episode you won’t want to miss. All this and more on Eavesdroppin’.

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode and remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!

Murders can happen anytime, anywhere… even in your hometown… This week, Geordie talks about the double murder of Ken and Margaret Keyte in Bateman’s Bay, Australia, with a first-hand account from Hazel the psychic real-estate agent. Michelle looks into Canberra’s longest-running cold case: the disappearance of Megan Mulquiney. Geordie explains what a ‘duzza’ is but comes up short on ‘laterals’, while the pair reminisce about classic cocktails from the 80s. Murder, Mendelsohn and Mullets… enjoy the episode.
